13 year old girl shot dead, riddled with 20 bullets

Iman Al-Hams, a 13 year old palestinean girl, was on her way to school, accompanied by two classmates, when she was shot and killed by israeli military troops in the southern Gaza Strip on tuesday afternoon.

Soldiers have come forward to explain that the girl's body was riddled with 20 bullets because their commander has been shooting two bullets at her already prone body before withdrawing a short distance and then firing a burst of automatic gunfire at the corpse.

Military sources admitted yesterday that the killing of Iman Al-Hams was a mistake. She was wearing her school uniform and carrying her book bag, which military sources said was suspected of containing explosives.

The child was about 50 meters from the military posts when the soldiers started shooting. Iman dropped her bag and tried to run away. She was hit in the arm and fell on the ground. The israeli troops went on shooting, killing the girl. She was about 400 meters from the school. The troops did not find any explosives or weapons in her schoolbag.

Her body was left on the ground for almost two hours, until the IDF enabled Palestinian medical teams to approach her. "The incident occurred in a place forbidden to Palestinians" israeli military sources said.

The soldiers said this was not the usual way to school and that her being near the post was not accidental, and she was probably sent by terrorists to check the soldiers' alertness.

Palestinian sources said this was Iman's and her schoolmates' usual route to school.

Do you really believe that Israeli soldiers knowingly killed a teenage girl with complete and utter disregard for any moral sense. No doubt Israel would go to any lengths to preservr itself as shown by the brutally effective activities of Mossad. This is a struggle for survival, but it is nonsense to think that this senseless accident could have been aanything but a mistake. During the Dark Ages multitudes of Jews were slaughtered by both Christian and Muslim religious fantics. The Jews slogan "Never Again" is a real pledge and heartfelt cry. They are not so stupid as to openly kill teenage girls as some part of defense policy. Grow up.

Even though the Israeli's you claim are no so stupid to kill teenage girls so openly, unfortunately it is everday reality that they do so. Defense policy or not, the ones holding the guns are soldiers, many individuals capable of many unrational, sick, cruel, foolish or uncalculated actions. Shooting a girl with a uniform (!) who takes the same route everyday with a rather large distance from the soldiers is not just a mistake. Its cruelty
